As of January 9, 2012, patients and visitors to the UF&Shands Academic Health Center will be able to park, free of charge. This change is long overdue in many eyes and is one large step in UF&Shands’ shared goal of improving the patient experience. Patients and visitors to the main campus of Shands at UF and the Med Plaza at the Davis Cancer Center need only a validated parking pass, which they can receive from the clinic they are attending, to escape the recently increased parking charge of $10 per day.
