At the UF Health Cancer Center, our nationally renowned University of Florida College of Medicine Division of Oncology and Hematology program has the broad goal of delivering the highest quality care to patients with malignancies and benign hematological disorders while furthering the national research agenda of reducing suffering and death from these diseases. The provision of patient care by the division is based on a multi-disciplinary approach in which specific cancers and diseases of the blood are managed by physicians who have a particular interest and expertise in the diagnosis and management of the disease. These super-specialists work with multi-disciplinary teams that include other medical, surgical and radiation specialists complemented by the support from nutrition, psychology, genetics and other care providers essential for the delivery of optimal and comprehensive care for each individual patient.
