Gabriela Ballester, MD, is a clinical associate professor in the division of hematology and oncology, bone transplant program in the University of Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. Ballester earned her medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires. She went on to complete hematology fellowships at the National Academy of Buenos Aires and at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, LA. She has also completed a bone marrow fellowship at FUNDALEU in Buenos Aires, and two internal medicine residencies at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA, and Evita Hospital in Santa Rosa, Argentina.
She is board certified in internal medicine and hematology, and has held faculty positions at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center in Huntington, WV, Albany Medical College in Albany, NY, and Brown University in Providence, RI. Dr. Ballester also serves on the Transfusion Medicine Committee at the Mariam Hospital in Providence, RI, and belongs to the American Society of Hematology. Her clinical interests include leukemia, myeloma and thrombosis.
