About Ansh K Mehta
I chose a career in medicine — specifically hematology/oncology with a focus on stem cell transplant and cellular therapy — because it blends science, precision and the chance to make a real difference. With new advances in the field, we can improve patient outcomes in ways that were not possible before. I believe immune effector cell, or IEC, treatments will transform disease management. As these therapies are applied to patient care, I hope to play a pivotal role in improving them.
At UF Health Shands, I serve in both clinical and research leadership roles to strengthen our stem cell transplant program. As a clinician, my top priority is building strong relationships with my patients while providing care that supports their individual needs and values. I am committed to helping modernize and expand our IEC and transplant programs through innovation, teamwork and high standards.
I also aim to grow our clinical trial efforts in cellular therapy and stem cell transplantation, helping position UF Health as a national leader in these rapidly advancing areas. My goal is to connect scientific progress with compassionate, high-quality care so that every breakthrough benefits patients. As I believe patient education to be integral, I take time to explain diagnoses, review treatment options and make sure each care plan is understood . Clear communication builds trust, supports shared decision-making and leads to better outcomes.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, which affords me the chance to learn about new cultures and meet people from many backgrounds. I also appreciate playing chess, trying new restaurants and spending time with my family.
